Workshop: Rotary Power Carving Techniques for Embellishment

This workshop is geared to everyone from the novice to the most advanced that desires to learn techniques using such tools as a simple dremel tool to the more advanced micro motor, flex shaft units. Tools and supplies students should bring: Rotary Power Carver - either micro motor, flex shaft, or Dremel tool with or without the flex shaft. If a flex shaft is brought, recommend bringing a portable tool stand. Variety of carving burrs - Basic recommendations from Wood Carvers Supply are: carbide stump burr #224212 $7.60, mini stump burs #216036 $4.95 and #216039 $4.95

Bring a turned vessel or bowl ready to carve or bring a practice board (cherry or maple would be good choices). Bring safety glasses, dust mask and ear plugs.
